Club Safety Boat Operator

Coastguard Boating Education in conjunction with Yachting New Zealand has developed a special course for operators of club rescue and support craft. This course is very relevant and very thorough. We recommend that clubs wishing to qualify their support boat operators could arrange courses for a group of their members. No pre-requisites are required to take the course.

Aim: To increase safety and proficiency of safety boat operators, enabling better safety cover for sailors involved in yacht club activities.

• Mark Laying
• Communication
• Righting inverted & partially inverted craft

• End of day procedures

• Courses run by certified CBES/RYA Powerboat Instructors
• CBES certificate/admin fee ($20 per/person) applies
